3 MONDAYS IN MARCH, 5:30-8:00 pm

Use a metal plate to create a printable matrix. You'll learn how to prepare and create a plate, several etching techniques to create lines and values on metal, wiping and printing your plate. All materials, tools and supplies needed to begin and finish a small etching are included. (Plate, papers, inks, etchants, tarlatan & intaglio tools)

This class will meet three Mondays in March (11th, 18th & 25th) from 5:30-8:00 each of the listed days. You do not need to attend each day in order to take the class. $300 covers 3 Mondays in May and any and all open studios for the month.

This course is appropriate for those at any level of skill and knowledge of intaglio printing. If you have no experience, you'll gain all the knowledge you need from demonstrations and additional personalized instruction to launch your adventure in printmaking. If you have limited or more extensive knowledge, you'll be able to take what you know and push your work with new techniques and practices.
