This one day workshop is an overview of soft ground from beginning to end. Margot Myers introduces a time honored recipe to make your own ground as well as shows you how to apply it to any metal plate, and a handful of ways it can be employed in graphic image making. Materials are provided for you to create a few test plates. Registration for this workshop also allows you free attendance to one open studio session during the month of August, so that you can apply your newly learned skills to your own larger pieces. It's highly recommended to attend all of the ground workshops for August in order to amplify your arsenal of print techniques.
